The framework for issuing long-term visas for five and ten years has been approved by the UAE Cabinet for selected categories of applicants. This was decided at a Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Palace on Monday.
Announcing this news in a Twitter message, Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai spoke about the start of regulatory work in this regard. He says he wants Dubai to remain the focus of great talent and a destination for innovative entrepreneurs.
In the meeting, the cabinet also decided on a National Space Strategy 2030 for the country. There will be a need for experts in space technology and scientists for this work. They will also call for investments and talented, forward-thinking people to develop their technology. The projects will include space research, manufacturing, testing, servicing, and related issues.
For this, they will be issuing five-year and ten-year residence visas. They will also be encouraging entrepreneurs and talented expats by issuing long-term residence visas to them also.
